It's a bird, it's a plane.. it's.. Steve?

Once upon a time, sometime this past summer, my mom had an asthma scare that landed her in the hospital for a couple of days.  While everything in the end turned out to be alright, the test results my mom had weren't giving the hospital staff the bode of confidence necessary to discharge her.  She was not happy about this decision, so Brendan and I hung out with her to keep her company and help cheer her up.  On the first day of her stay, my mom had the entire room to herself... that is, until Brendan told us about Steve, my mom's imaginary hospital roommate.

Steve wasn't exactly quiet, but he wasn't too much of a bother.  If anything, I think we were disturbing his beauty rest since he kept readjusting his bed. Steve apparently liked to run down the halls with a sheet tied around his neck going "wooosh!!".. which we warned my mom that she should not join him, because she needed to keep her heart rate down in order to pass the tests.

Sadly, Steve left us early on the second day and was replaced by a less savory roommate (of the tangible variety), but thankfully, my mom went home later that day, too.

When my mom finally "got out", she had to schedule some follow up exams just to "make sure"... so I decided to make her a healthy happy heart to help her out.

In honor of my mom's "former roommate" -- Brendan named the heart, Steve!  And look how happy he is!
