Sorry about such the long break. Moved from Northern Virginia to South East Michigan, and thought it would be a good idea to travel for work while moving. Fun!
But now I'm done. I'm sitting on my brand new couch, in front of my brand new TV, enjoying my few days of unemployment.. and back to knitting. Not that I didn't knit while I was traveling, but it is a lot easier to complete projects when all of my stuff was in one central location, plus TSA isn't fond of me carrying on my nice sewing scissors.
According to my ravelry notebook, I started this project back on March 28th... and I *just* finished today. I feel bad about this, but it was a slightly complicated pattern, and I needed to gather extra materials -- but it's done!
Ready for the big reveal?
So the mystery picture, was this:
Now, I did have someone guess "sweater", but I'm not sure they were referring to this project... but if they were, then they win.
I found the buttons at Imaginknit in Gaylord, MI during my anniversary trip. What a wonderful store there... I spent WAY too much money, but I should be busy for a while.
This sweater was a free pattern from Vogue. I'm not sure I like how the back turned out, but I think I'll make a belt out of the same style yarn (different color) to go with this piece. I even have an extra button to use for the belt! Can't wait until this Michigan weather cools down and gets back to it's "regularly scheduled programs" so that I can wear this out! Right now, it's too hot in this 90+ degree weather (I thought I left that nasty stuff in VA??).
