Harry Bear

Again, while searching for another idea, Brendan chimed in with saying I should make a teddy bear.  Not that we really needed anymore teddy bears, but why the hell not.

I discovered while searching for a pattern that... well... there are a lot of ugly teddy bears.  Seriously, google "knit teddy bear pattern" (or click the link), and see for yourself.  I'll wait.

SEE!  Ugly! So, bear after bear, I finally found something that looked decent.
Awww... isn't he cute?

So I attempted this one.  I didn't use the yarn that was suggested, instead I found some fuzzy soft yarn at JoAnn's.  And I didn't use embroidery thread for the eyes and nose... instead I just used black yarn.  Maybe I should have stuck to the pattern a little better?
Mostly I'm not impressed with the large nose, so we shall try this one again later.

If anyone wants to try their own Harry Bear, they can find the pattern here.

  1. very cute! how do you have so much time/quick knitting skills to finish projects so quickly? I am quite jealous!

  2. Well since I started knitting back in December, I have only taken 3 days off from knitting. It's called addiction, really :)

I was also working from home so while sitting at my computer studying, I could knit. The number of competed projects will slowly diminish now that I no longer have that luxury!
