Circular Hat

On our voyage back from "the great white north" after Christmas, I sadly had nothing on my needles.  I finished the green cable scarf, and I needed something to occupy me for 10 hours.

Brendan suggested a hat for himself.  "The only knit hat I have is orange, and that isn't something I want to wear outside of the woods all that often"... so I grabbed my new size 10 circulars, and my charcoal marble chunky yarn, and I started a hat.

I found a basic pattern online, but I had to modify it since Brendan has a large head.  He thought it was weird that I kept wrapping my needles or my partial work around his head, but it was for the sake of his hat!  The pattern said I would need to switch to double points at some time, but I managed to make it through on just the circulars.

He hasn't had much of an opportunity to wear it, but if Snowpocalypse ever hits the NoVA area again, he'll be ready... in just his hat.  He doesn't wear coats.
