I don't drink a lot of coffee, but I do enjoy the occasional treat from Caribou, especially with a cigar. If you have been to a Caribou lately (say the in last few years) than you've probably noticed their way to save the planet by "guilt tripping" their customers with the notion that "using this cardboard sleeve will kill the planet". Damn "green", "hippie" notions. Bah. Humbug.
Despite feeling like Cartman from South Park (
"damn dirty hippies!"), I have found that they do sell a lot of really cute coffee sleeves. Perhaps if I drank coffee more frequently, then I would have considered buying one of them. But seeing as I don't, I couldn't justify the cost. I could however justify knitting one with some of my stash yarn... and I found just the perfect
pattern.
All around the sleeve is says "HOT" in binary.
Nerd + Knitting = Heaven.
